hm hm, tomorrow will be an exciting day! i'll be going for biz camp (i dunno how exciting is that, but i guess it beats staying at home the whole day), and my mac will be coming! that's the exciting part, hoho (: the sad thing is that i won't be around to see my mac :( but i will get to once i get home from camp on sunday, yay! by that time the laptop will be fully charged and ready for me to fiddle around with it :D :D haha, i think my sis is equally excited - if not more - than me; she's the ultimate IT buff u know. the laptop will come with other perks like an ipod shuffle, adobe photoshop, and extended warranty. that's good, since the price quoted on the NUS webpage isn't exactly cheap. reasonable i guess, but not exactly inexpensive. i hope the ipod shuffle will be good to use. my main gripe about the ipod nano is its battery life, which seems to have shortened drastically over time. i certainly hope that the ipod shuffle will be better than its cousin in this respect.
anyway today my sis and i went cycling together! after such a long loong time. haha, the two bikes we have were in quite bad shape - the tyres were flat, the chain on one of the bicycles came lose, and the metal was rusty. well, we finally got the tyres pumped and the chain realigned properly after much procrastination (about 2 to 3 years!?). nothing much could be done to the metal parts which are still spotted with reddish-brown rust though. haha, but still, i'm really proud of what we achieved today! (: but there are some things we have to purchase for the bikes. things like bells, baskets and reflectors so that we can cycle safely at night. it was pretty annoying having to stop frequently due to pedestrians who were walking at a leisurely pace (and i mean leisurely) when we were riding on the pavements. we didn't have bells to alert the pedestrians as we rode behind them. i tried calling out "excuse me excuse me" but trust me, it doesn't work :/
my dad will be on leave starting next week, for 2 weeks (if i'm not wrong)! so my mum has entrusted me with the task of planning some family outing(s) :/ it's nice that she trusts me, but organising is like 麻烦. have to get my bro to agree to go out la. anyway i came up with some suggestions: play badminton, cycle/rollerblade at east coast, or go kbox haha (neva go before as a family! it'll be quite amusing i think).
